Full-Stack Developer ( 1 year Contractor)

Heredia, Costa Rica

We are seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack Developer to join a leading global technology organization. In this role, you will help build and enhance internal employee-facing applications that streamline purchasing requests, approval workflows, and business processes.

You will work across Python backend services, TypeScript/React front-end experiences, APIs, integrations, and data workflows that connect employee-facing solutions with enterprise systems. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and transform complex business requirements into scalable, user-friendly software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Build full-stack features that simplify internal purchasing, intake, approvals, and spend-related workflows.
Develop Python backend services and REST APIs that integrate with enterprise procurement, finance, identity, workflow, and data systems.
Create intuitive TypeScript/React user experiences that simplify complex backend processes and improve employee experience.
Improve intake and approval workflows by enhancing usability, visibility, and process efficiency.
Partner with IT, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Design scalable, maintainable, and reliable software solutions that support evolving business needs.

Requirements

4+ years of professional experience in Full-Stack Software Development.
Strong experience with Python, TypeScript, and React.
Experience building production-grade web applications, REST APIs, and third-party integrations.
Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or similar Python frameworks.
Solid understanding of API architecture, authentication, authorization, validation, and backend service design.
Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational databases.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions.
Experience working with workflow-driven applications, approval processes, or enterprise systems.
Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving environment.
Must be available to collaborate with stakeholders operating in the US Pacific Time zone.
