Sales Executive (German Speaking)

Location: Ciudad Colón, San José, Costa Rica (Residence in Ciudad Colón is required.)

Job Description

We are seeking a Sales Executive (German Speaking) to join the team of a leading tourism company in Costa Rica. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising German-speaking clients, designing customized travel experiences, negotiating with clients and suppliers, and managing the entire sales process from quotation to closing while delivering exceptional customer service and achieving sales targets.

We are looking for a results-driven professional with proven experience in consultative sales within Costa Rica’s tourism industry, strong negotiation skills, and excellent communication abilities in German.

Key Responsibilities

Advise clients on personalized travel experiences in Costa Rica.
Prepare customized quotations and travel itineraries based on clients’ needs.
Negotiate with clients and suppliers to secure the best travel options and rates.
Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals.
Follow up with clients throughout the sales process until reservations are confirmed.
Analyze and compare tourism products, pricing, and market opportunities for the German market.
Maintain and update product and pricing information across sales platforms.
Write product descriptions in German for databases, websites, and marketing materials.
Assist with billing, credit notes, and other administrative tasks.
Ensure sales targets and service quality standards are consistently met.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Must reside in Ciudad Colón, San José, Costa Rica.
Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in sales and customer service within an inbound travel agency in Costa Rica.
Proven experience in negotiating and closing sales within Costa Rica’s tourism industry.
Strong knowledge of Costa Rica’s tourism destinations, products, and suppliers.
Advanced proficiency in German, both spoken and written.
English proficiency is considered an asset.
Experience in developing and expanding new markets.
Proficiency in TourPlan NX, WETU, and Pipedrive.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a target-driven environment and consistently achieve sales goals.
