Purpose of the Position

• Execute collection activities efficiently and effectively in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure that unapplied cash is identified and investigated.

Responsibilities

• Collect cash from a designated client portfolio using dedicated software/systems and resolve billing disputes fairly and in a timely manner.
• Manage the accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring old balances remain within established business objectives.
• Update the provision for bad debts, prepare debt analyses, and monitor account performance.
• Prepare account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare scheduled and ad hoc financial analysis reports.
• Comply with agreed-upon service levels, company policies, and procedures.
• Resolve operational issues and escalate to supervisor when needed.
• Analyze and release purchase orders.
• Create and analyze account statements.

Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate Excel).
• Strong team player.
• Experience with collection processes.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of work experience.
• Experience in the industry or in shared services is an added advantage.
