Jr. Cash Applications (USA)

Objective

To execute Cash Application activities in an efficient and accurate manner, ensuring payments are properly applied and reconciled in compliance with company policies and procedures. Additionally, to identify and investigate unapplied cash while supporting internal stakeholders and maintaining service level agreements.

Responsibilities

Review and reconcile all payments received on a daily basis.
Apply customer payments accurately in the system and investigate unapplied or unidentified cash.
Prepare detailed and organized accounts receivable reconciliations for both customer and internal requests.
Identify and communicate discrepancies in payments received with the collections team.
Manage the assigned portfolio of receivable accounts, ensuring aged balances remain within established business targets.
Prepare scheduled and ad hoc financial analysis reports.
Adhere to agreed service levels, company policies, and procedures.
Resolve operational issues within the Cash Application process and escalate to the supervisor when necessary.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Technical or university studies in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.
Minimum 1 year of work experience.
Experience in Finance & Accounting required.
Experience in industry or Shared Services environments is an added advantage.
Knowledge of ERP systems.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar tools.
Intermediate English level (verbal and written communication skills).
Strong team player with good organizational skills.
