Logistics & Last Mile Operations Supervisor

OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee the logistics and management of business operations. The ideal candidate will be a strong advocate for customer satisfaction, with a clear focus on profitability. This will be achieved through new business generation, special attention to timely cargo dispatch, and a collaborative leadership style that inspires each team member to deliver exceptional performance in both customer service and cargo handling.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Focus on the fast dispatch of air and sea freight to ensure customers receive their orders as quickly as possible.
- Maintain professional and cordial relationships with key external stakeholders, such as Customs and Tax Authorities, as well as all air and sea freight carriers.
- Full proficiency in the English language (spoken and written) is essential for the position.
- Ensure the entire team delivers an exceptional customer service experience.
- Foster organic growth through high levels of customer engagement.
- Take ownership of customer concerns, providing proactive follow-up and complete resolution.
- Review and refine procedures, policies, and service standards to optimize business opportunities and minimize threats to profitability.
- Recruit, train, and develop customer service agents, creating an environment where they can excel through guidance, coaching, and empowerment.
- Promote the business with a focus on increasing the customer base and expanding operations.
- Stay up to date with industry developments and apply best practices for continuous improvement.
- Manage resources and utilize available assets to achieve qualitative and quantitative goals.
- Maintain an organized workflow based on priorities.
Experience and Academic Background:
- Technical or university degree in Business Administration, Customs or related.
- Experience in the shipping/logistics industry is preferred but not required.
- Proven experience as a Customer Service Supervisor or Manager for at least 2 years.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated record of empathy and patience in challenging customer situations.
- Ability to work closely with key stakeholders to ensure smooth operations (e.g., Customs, ports, and internal departments).
- Experience as a Customs Broker is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- English B2+
