Job Summary:
In this role, you will contribute to the development, implementation, support and maintenance of sophisticated client/server applications within a multi-tiered architecture. You will leverage your programming expertise, database management skills, and system knowledge to deliver reliable and scalable solutions. Additionally, you will ensure the seamless operation of enterprise systems by troubleshooting performance issues, managing batch processes, and maintaining technical documentation. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and a commitment to adhering to industry best practices and standards.
Primary Functions:
- Timely Issue Resolution: You will ensure customers receive prompt and thorough solutions to their technical issues, all while adhering to SLAs.
- Enhanced Customer Satisfaction: By effectively managing support ticket queues and providing updates to customers, you will enhance the overall customer experience.
- Improved System Integration: Your expertise in troubleshooting APIs and working with tools (Postman) will ensure smooth communication and system integration.
- Optimized Solutions: By analyzing and modifying large data sets, stored procedures, and reports, you will directly impact the performance and functionality of customer solutions.
- Knowledge Sharing: Your ability to document solutions and share knowledge will improve internal resources, supporting both current and future troubleshooting efforts.
- Continuous Improvement: By providing suggestions for product and process enhancements, you will contribute to the long-term evolution of the solutions and the support team’s capabilities.
- Enhancing System Functionality: You will develop and maintain user-friendly interfaces using PowerBuilder while ensuring robust backend performance with C++ and COBOL.
- Optimizing Data Management: Your knowledge of relational databases like Oracle, Sybase, and MS SQL Server will support accurate data handling, batch processing, and financial transaction updates.
- Driving System Performance: You will troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues, including memory, storage, and network traffic challenges, ensuring optimal operation.
- Streamlining Processes: By overseeing batch processes and collaborating with teams, you will enhance efficiency in payment processing, cost allocation, and reporting.
- Fostering Collaboration: Acting as a bridge between technical and functional teams, you will address software, hardware, and network requirements to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensuring Reliability: Your adherence to documentation and development standards will provide consistent, reliable solutions that meet organizational and client needs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience supporting technical features of enterprise solutions, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- 3+ years of experience in PowerBuilder for GUI development with hands on experience using the Appeon version of PowerBuilder.
- 3+ years of experience working with relational database systems (Oracle and MS SQL Server) and experience with database communication interfaces like ODBC and Oracle Call Interface.
- 3+ years of experience supporting two-tier and three-tier client/server architectures and experience with UNIX and Windows environments.
- 3+ years of experience working with TCP/IP socket programming, Windows Sockets (WinSock), and network performance optimization.
- 3+ years of experience with diagnose and resolve system issues related to batch processes, client-server communication, and database interactions
