Objective

Ensure billing accuracy and revenue protection by auditing freight invoices, applying rate agreements, and addressing both customer and internal inquiries. This role combines analytical thinking with attention to detail in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities:

• Verify freight bill accuracy by reviewing system-entered data and original shipping documents.
• Use tariff systems and rate agreements to calculate applicable freight and accessorial charges.
• Apply manual rates when automated rates are unavailable, ensuring compliance with agreements.
• Respond to internal and customer inquiries through all available communication channels of the company.
• Determine and process corrections for underpayments, short pays, or credits.
• Classify freight using the NMFC guide and billing descriptions.
• Audit interline revenue and authorize or reject discrepancies in carrier billing.
• Stay updated with rate cards, customer agreements, billing procedures, and exceptions.
• Assist in the daily auditing process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, International Trade, or Economics is required.

• Proficiency in LTL billing systems (e.g., LTL 400 – mandatory) and Microsoft Office.

• At least 3 years of experience in similar roles.
