Google Tag Manager (GTM) Technical Analyst

Key Responsibilities
-
Tag Management & Implementation
-
Lead and execute the configuration and deployment of tracking tags and pixels using Google Tag Manager or similar TMS (e.g., Adobe Launch).

Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize tracking setups to ensure data integrity across digital properties.

Partner with marketing and business teams to deploy third-party pixels and conversion tracking for campaigns.

Analytics Integration & Support
-
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical tagging solutions.
-
Perform data validation and analysis using SQL and other tools to ensure accurate data collection and processing.

Maintain and document tagging strategies, technical specifications, and system diagrams.

Project Collaboration & Delivery
-
Work as part of a Scrum Team to deliver tagging solutions that align with business goals.

Coordinate with QA teams for testing, data quality checks, and production support.

Ensure all changes follow release management processes and are aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement
-
Act as a technical liaison between internal teams and third-party vendors.
-
Guide vendors and external partners to ensure tagging solutions are implemented accurately and efficiently.

Evaluate vendor upgrades and recommend tool enhancements or process improvements.

Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

4+ years of experience implementing and managing Google Tag Manager or Adobe Analytics tagging solutions.
-
Proficiency in JavaScript, with hands-on experience customizing tags and variables.
-
Solid understanding of HTML, DOM structure, and browser debugging tools.
-
Experience in SQL and data validation across complex data flows and environments.
-
Strong troubleshooting skills with attention to detail in identifying and resolving tracking issues.

Demonstrated experience supporting analytics and marketing stakeholders in digital environments.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
Nice to Have
-
Knowledge of marketing technology stacks and their integration points.
-
Understanding of APIs, modern data pipelines, and QA/test automation.
-
Experience in production support, release management, or operational monitoring.
-
Prior exposure to ETL testing, data modeling, or data governance practices.
