International Transportation Supervisor
Costa Rica
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
To further develop the international transportation business in the marketplace through focus on Operations, Finances, Sales, People,
Systems, and Culture in adherence to the company’s policy and procedures.
Tasks and Duties:
This section lists job-specific tasks and duties that are completed on a regular basis by the employee as noted in the Operational Performance
Standards of the company (OPS).
• Ensure all customers standard operating procedures are followed as per the DLSOP
• Review and support with day-to-day pricing requests, strategy and RFQ management.
• Plan and support with huddles and monthly meetings to discuss market intelligence and delegate workloads within the team.
• Take an active role in the transition of new business and updates to existing business.
• Grow department Revenue in line with District budget target and Management Team expectations.
• Support all compliance efforts and trainings.
• Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas to improve efficiency.
• Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into the department.
• Be involved and suggest system/process improvements.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors (Shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies, and others)
• Assist the Manager with Employee Evaluations for the department in line with the 3+1 Initiatives.
• Assist the Manager with goal setting and monitoring development for key staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
• College/University or equivalent business qualifications
• Minimum 3 years in industry experience
• Strong planning and organizing skills
• Fluent in English (minimum B2 or above)
• Strong market and competition knowledge
• Proven Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PPT etc.).
• PowerBi is desirable
• Black Belt or equivalent preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams of 5 or more members.
• Ability and willingness to work 100% on site
• Ability and willingness to confirm to Expeditors dress code
• Ability to independently get to and from Expeditors facility/ies
