HR Business Partner
Santo Domingo
Purpose of the Role:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a critical role in aligning business objectives with employees and management. This position serves as a consultant to leadership on human resource-related issues while also driving initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience. The HRBP will be responsible for designing and implementing employee handbooks, policies, and engagement programs that foster a positive and productive workplace culture. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for improving employee satisfaction and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing guidance on HR best practices, employee relations, and organizational development.
- Develop, update, and implement employee handbooks, HR manuals, and internal policies in alignment with company culture and legal compliance.
- Lead the design and execution of employee experience programs, including onboarding, recognition initiatives, engagement surveys, and career development activities.
- Analyze employee feedback and metrics to propose data-driven strategies for improving morale, retention, and performance.
- Partner with department heads to support workforce planning, talent development, and performance management processes.
- Ensure HR practices comply with local labor laws and regulatory standards.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace through proactive HR initiatives.
- Support change management initiatives by guiding leaders and employees through organizational changes and transformations.
- Coordinate training programs in collaboration with Learning & Development teams to address identified skill gaps.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance HR services and the employee lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in an HR Business Partner or generalist role.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing employee manuals, handbooks, and internal policies.
- Proven ability to design and manage programs focused on employee engagement and experience.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR compliance, and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR).
- Experience working in multinational or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms and employee experience tools.
