Product Engineer

Position Purpose:
The Product Engineer is the technical owner of the electronic product within the manufacturing environment. Their main role is to design, implement, and improve production processes, assembly methods, and testing procedures, ensuring the product meets functional, quality, and regulatory specifications while maintaining production efficiency and robustness. Their deep knowledge of electronic design allows them to translate product requirements into effective and sustainable processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes for electronic products, ensuring quality, efficiency, and capacity.

• Act as the technical reference for the product on the shop floor, ensuring accurate interpretation of design specifications (hardware and firmware).

• Coordinate with design, quality, manufacturing, and supplier teams to ensure effective product transfer from development to production (NPI / industrialization).

• Collaborate with process engineers to create and maintain documentation such as BOMs, work instructions, and testing specifications.

• Define and improve functional testing methods aligned with product requirements.

• Define and improve manufacturing methods, including assembly, disassembly, and part reclamation.

• Lead troubleshooting efforts for technical issues in production related to product performance and manufacturability.

• Monitor process KPIs related to quality, scrap, efficiency, and cycle time, and propose continuous improvement initiatives.

Position Requirements:
Education:

• Minimum of a Technical Degree in Advanced Electronics or Mechatronics.

Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in electronics or mechatronics.

Technical Knowledge:

• Interpretation of electronic schematics, Bills of Materials (BOM), and design documentation.

• Electronic manufacturing processes: soldering, coating, testing, programming, and integration.

• Familiarity with electronic design tools (Altium, OrCAD) and programming software.

Languages:

• Intermediate English. Able to read technical documentation, collaborate with international teams, and generate technical reports in English.
